ceo & Founder of The Urban Helper
As the vision-keeper, lead project developer, and driving force behind the Urban Helper, Charlotte Culina brings a passion for purpose-driven entrepreneurship to the helm of the company. While developing her multifaceted career in TV commercial and Music Video production —where she managed a wide range of high-profile music projects including videos and productions for Nelly, N’Sync, Metallica, Britney Spears, and Blink-182—Charlotte simultaneously pursued a variety of community strengthening projects. From leading local education initiatives to developing, managing, and successfully funding a community gardening project that eventually became a thriving program for at-risk youth, Charlotte has dedicated herself to transforming ideas into realities that change people’s lives for the better. Charlotte emerged from business studies at UCLA with a set of defining principles she used to develop the business model behind The Urban Helper. Guided by the idea that a sustainable business venture must have, at its core, a strong social purpose, Charlotte combined the People, Planet, Profit philosophy with Blue Ocean Strategy to create The Urban Helper: a high-growth, scaleable venture that will change the world—one neighborhood at a time.
